Who is Jessica Liese?

n.b. this is quite a different question from "who is John Galt?"

Jessica Liese is many things to many people. New Yorker, reader, writer, blogger, amateur boxer, restless dilettante...the list goes on. Suffice it to say she's trying to bring Renaissance women back into vogue, and maybe even into Vogue.

Jess (you can call her Jess, most people do) wrote for some places at some point and then fell in love and stopped having angst to vent. So now she just reviews books sometimes. One time she was on Jeopardy! and didn't win. Nowadays she implements web content and sends email blasts for a nonprofit (that's as boring as I can make it) and is going to start updating her website as a way to re-develop her web skills, which expired sometime in 2005. The first Tuesday of every month you can find her hosting trivia at Rope in Fort Greene. She also hosted the Barbes Reading Series in Park Slope from fall 2005-summer 2006. No, it's okay, that didn't impress Alex Trebek either. She lives in Manhattan with her extremely patient boyfriend and occasionally a betta fish.

Talking in the third person exhausts and annoys her. So she's going to stop now.
